About Mark Hagan
Mark Hagan, BSc (Hons) Ost.

.
I graduated from the London School of Osteopathy with a BSc (Hons) in osteopathy and since graduating I have been trained in the use of Western Medical Acupuncture. When I am not visiting patients I can also be seen at The Light Centre in Belgravia.
I am passionate about my profession as an osteopath and take a holistic approach when treating my patients. My treatment style is structural and explanatory with a firm belief in the ability of the body to heal itself at the core of my approach to osteopathy and healthcare.
I am experienced in treating back, neck and shoulder problems; muscle problems; sciatica and disc problems in addition to many other conditions such as Achilles tendonitis.
In addition I strongly believe that patients are more motivated to help themselves when they understand how their body works as a ‘unit’. It could be said that I have a bit of a ‘bee in my bonnet’ when it comes to the hamstrings in particular. Many of my patients are surprised when I explain how short tight hamstrings and hip flexor muscles can significantly contribute to lower back pain and discomfort. I also have a particular interest in posture and helping patients to recognise and address this factor in the pursuit of long-term health.
I enjoy keeping fit and this involves outdoor circuit training, walking my black Labrador Bruno, and running. I have completed the London Marathon on three occasions with a personal best of 3h 09min.
I am a member of the British Osteopathic Association, London Osteopathic Society and registered with the General Osteopathic Society. I am also a recognised Back Care Professional; Back Care is the largest national charity solely concerned with reducing the impact of back pain.
